I am an ecosystem biogeochemist specializing in the nitrogen cycle. Much of my research is focused on understanding the drivers of nutrient cycling in variably inundated environments within the context of global change. My research addresses three primary questions:
1) How do changes in hydrologic regime affect watershed nutrient processing and export? 2) What are the drivers of biogeochemical response to anthropogenic disturbances? 3) Can human created systems provide the same ecosystem services as natural ecosystems?
I am a postdoctoral researcher in The University of Alabama's Biogeochemistry Lab.
